Employer Nomination Scheme

The Employer Nomination Scheme is targeted at people under the age of 50 who have an Australian employer who is willing to sponsor them for permanent residency.   Applicants must be nominated for a position that relates to an occupation listed on the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL). They must also have obtained a positive skills assessment from a designated relevant assessing authority in Australia unless they have been working in Australia for at least two years on a 457 temporary work visa.

The Australian employer must also demonstrate a genuine need for a paid employee to fill a position in their business and meet certain benchmarks pertaining to the training of Australians.

This visa is not subject to a points test.
