Greencard Lottery

The Green Card Lottery, officially known as the Diversity Visa (DV) Program, was a U.S. government program that provided a limited number of immigrant visas to individuals from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States.

The U.S. government has paused the DV Lottery program in 2025. This means that no new selections will take place. The last selection was in 2024. Processing of green card applications that were submitted after previous selections have also been paused.
