B-1 Specialized Trainer
Provide training to US personnel
Employees of a company can apply for a B-1 Specialized Trainer visa when they need to travel to the United States to provide training or transfer knowledge to American personnel.
The training must relate to specialized techniques and/or skills necessary to work with industrial equipment, machines or processes originating from a company outside the United States.
The employee must possess unique knowledge that is not widely available in the United States and may not receive income from an American source for this training.
Important elements in the application for a B-1 Specialized Trainer visa are the sales agreement between two companies (US and non-US) and proof that the employee actually possesses the unique knowledge to provide this training.
